As their final projects of the year, Carmel's Visual Arts students have created absolutely incredible photorealistic portrait images of some of their favorite celebrities. Following these new additions to the gallery are some of the best works of Carmel Falcon art from over the course of the year. These drawings reflect skill and technique more akin to that of college level art students than those of the middle school level. I am so proud to share with you this amazing work and the great talent of my students.

Carmel Falcons Visual Arts 2011-12

Monday, May 14, 2012

Over the past week or so, Carmel's Visual Arts students have each researched an artist of their choosing, and created a work of art in the style of that artist. Artists range from Environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy; to Claude Monet and other French Impressionists; to Abstract artists like Piet Mondrian; to Degas, Jan van Eyck, and other artists of Realism. Below are the student works inspired by these famous artists and their histories.
